The holidays are just around the corner, and it's time to gear up for one of the biggest online shopping events of the year. You don't want to miss out on the incredible deals and discounts that await with my 2023 Holiday Fashion Shopping Guide!

2023 Holiday Shopping Tips
Okay, before you jump into your holiday shopping, check out these important tips below that will help you navigate your shopping experience most efficiently!
1. Create a Wishlist
Start by curating a wishlist of the items you've been eyeing. Having a clear idea of what you want will help you stay focused during the shopping frenzy and avoid impulsive purchases (yes, I know that’s hard to do!). 2. Set a Budget
Determine how much you're willing to spend on your Holiday shopping. Stick to your budget to avoid overspending and financial regrets later.
3. Use a Dedicated Shopping Email
I highly recommend creating a separate shopping email address to organize all your orders, shipment confirmations, and potential returns. This way, you don’t have to dig through loads of everyday emails to find your orders, tracking info, etc. Also, retailers will send sales info and updates to this email address, so you’ll have one dedicated place for everything shopping!
4. Update Payment and Shipping Information
Save time at checkout by ensuring your payment and shipping details are up to date. This prevents any last-minute hiccups that could cost you a deal. As such, if you’re pretty sure that you’ll be making a purchase with that online retailer, I recommend updating your payment and shipping details before you load up your cart for checkout.
5. Plan Your Timing
Holiday deals can start early, so plan your shopping hours wisely. Expert Tip: Try shopping online during “off” hours (i.e. from 12 a.m. – 7 p.m.) – you’ll likely increase the chances that what you put in your shopping cart will still be available when you checkout. But keep in mind, too, that some retailers release “flash deals” at specific times throughout the day, so monitor your email during normal business hours. (Remember, if you’re using a dedicated shopping email like I recommended above, you’ll easily see sales email updates from retailers in real time!).
6. Secure Your Devices
Ensure your computer or mobile device is updated with the latest security software to protect against cyber threats. Phishing emails and spoofing websites are a real thing, especially at this time of year!
7. Lookout For Final Sale Items
One of the most fun aspects of holiday shopping (at least for me) is snagging great sales! However, every once in a while, you may come across an item that’s marked as a final sale. That could be great if it is indeed a great deal and you’re 100% sure that it will work for you (or your gift recipient). But if you have any doubts (for any reason), I wouldn’t recommend buying it because you won’t be able to return it.
So, when you’re checking out, before you hit that purchase button, scan your online shopping cart and look for any items marked ‘Final Sale’ just in case you missed it while you were shopping.
8. Check Return Policies
This is a BIG one! You must understand the return policies of each online retailer you're shopping from before dropping items in your cart! I would encourage you to even make a spreadsheet. This will give you peace of mind if you need to return or exchange a purchase, especially if you’re purchasing gifts. Fortunately, many retailers extend their return window during the holiday season, but not all do, so be 100% sure before making your purchase.
9. Enjoy the Experience
Remember that Holiday Shopping is not just about getting presents; it's also about enjoying the thrill of online shopping. Stay patient, stay focused, and have fun!
