As a Personal Stylist, I've had the privilege of helping hundreds of clients enhance their style and confidence over the past 10+ years. And you know what one of the most asked questions woman have about their style? How to look “put together” and polished every day!
In today's blog post, I share some valuable tips with you on how to look put together every day.
Here’s the deal…looking polished doesn't have to be complicated; rather, it's about making a few intentional choices every day. Let's dive into my top five tips on how to do so!
1. Get That Morning Glow with a 30-45 Minute Workout
Starting your day with a workout not only boosts your physical health but also gives you a natural, radiant glow. It increases blood flow, oxygenates your skin, and releases endorphins, all of which make you feel fantastic. Whether it's a brisk walk, yoga, or a quick HIIT session, dedicate some time each morning to get your body moving. You'll not only look better but also feel energized and ready to tackle the day.
2. Wrinkle-free Clothes are a Must
Nothing screams “I've got it together” like wearing smoothly draping, wrinkle-free clothes. Invest in a good quality steamer and make it a daily (or weekly!) ritual to remove any wrinkles or creases from your attire. It's a small step that can make a significant difference in your overall appearance. Smooth, crisp clothing exudes refinement, professionalism, and attention to detail.
It also helps to invest in quality textiles that have a slight bit of “heft” to it. These tend to lay and drape so much better on the body. Wrinkle-resistant clothing also performs well for more polished looks!

3. Pay Attention to Your Shoes (Because Other People Are!)
Your shoes can make or break your outfit. Ensure that your footwear is clean and well-maintained. Check for scuffs, dirt, or worn-out soles or heels. A quick wipe or polish can do wonders. When your shoes look polished, you instantly appear more put-together. Plus, a little extra care for your footwear prolongs its lifespan.
4. Walk with Purpose and Confidence
Confidence is the key to looking put together. Let's say it again for those of you in the back… Confidence is the key to looking put together. Walk with purpose, look straight ahead, stand tall, and maintain good posture. Your body language says a lot about your confidence level. When you walk with assurance, people notice. It's a subtle yet powerful way to leave a lasting impression.
5. Embrace Colors that Resonate with You
Okay, so this is probably the most common “fail” when it comes to looking polished. Wearing colors that resonate with your personality and complement your skin tone is MUST, and it instantly elevates your look! Experiment with a variety of shades and discover what makes you feel most confident. When you wear colors that suit you, you'll naturally radiate a harmonious and put-together vibe. I offer Color Analysis in ALL my Styling Packages, where we determine your 60 (yes, 60!) best colors!
Looking polished every day is not about owning the most expensive clothing or having elaborate routines; it's about the subtle, deliberate choices you make when dressing yourself every day. Incorporate these five tips into your daily routine, and you'll notice a significant improvement in your overall appearance and confidence. And others will notice, too!
Remember, it's not only about looking good; it's about feeling good, too! So, embrace these practices, and let your inner confidence shine through!
